We have a solid coaching team in place for the 2015 / 2016 season.
Head Coach: Aimee Pink
Aimee took over the Head Coach role at Baradene at the start of last season after transforming the Hillcrest High into a nationally successful Rowing programme. She has continued this success with Baradene rowing and this has now been recognized with her appointment to coach the New Zealand U21 team along with being one of only 4 coaches in the Auckland region to be selected for a Rowing NZ scholarship. In August 2015, the New Zealand Under 21 rowing team (coached by Aimee) beat their Australian counterparts to win back the Rusty Robertson Cup: Aimee’s girls’ sweep oar crews dominated their Aussie rivals.
Assistant Coach: Mollie James
Mollie is a 3rd year communications student at AUT, who rowed for Baradene for four years and coached the Baradene squad for the 2014 season.
Assistant Coach: Anna Cullum
Anna will be graduating at the end of 2015 with a Bachelor of Food Science from the University of Auckland. She is actively involved with University rowing as Vice President of the Auckland University Boat Club and coached for Tauranga Girls College over 2014/15 season. Anna rowed for Tauranga Girls College for four years and Tauranga Rowing club for two years.
Assistant Coach: Amber Fordham
Amber has been involved in high school rowing as a coxswain at Westlake Girls High School for the past four years, winning an impressive haul of medals over that time. She has since won two golds as cox for the Auckland Light Blues 2014 boy’s team in Australia, and two golds as cox for the New Zealand U21 eight in both Australia and New Zealand.
Gym Trainings: Tim & Patrick
Tim and Patrick are both strength and conditioning coaches with AUT Millenium.
